    Director & Producer


    Alicia directed NINE TO NINETY, which premiered at Hot Docs 2013, won First Place Non-Fiction at USA Film Festival and was nominated for Best Short at the 2013 IDA International Documentary Awards. In spring of 2012, Alicia’s work appeared in theaters nation-wide in BULLY, distributed by The Weinstein Company, for which she directed key material with the main character. Alicia was a director on THE CALLING, a four-hour PBS series that was a flagship of the 2010 Independent Lens season. She was associate producer of the 2004 Emmy Award-nominated HBO series PANDEMIC: FACING AIDS and of the 2001 Academy Award-winning feature documentary INTO THE ARMS OF STRANGERS. In recent years, Alicia helped start Veracity Productions, an independent production company making cinema and media content for PBS, The Jim Henson Company, The New York Times Magazine Online, Oprah.com, The California Endowment and a variety of non-profit organizations. Alicia studied German and Politics at Princeton and received her MFA in Film Production from USC.

    Tom was a director on a 10-part CCTV documentary series in partnership with Mercedes, A CENTURY WITH CARS looks at the invention of the automobile and ways it has transformed society around the world over the past 100 years. He also directed episodes of a 13-part CCTV documentary OCEAN’S AWAY, about the various lives of Chinese exchange students throughout America in their struggle to make it in a foreign land while facing financial woes, language barriers, and home sickness. Prior, Tom wrote, directed, and edited documentary short ELEPHANT IN THE PINK TUTU, about white flight in Arcadia California when a new wave of Chinese immigrants move into the neighborhood and replaced the existing Ranch Homes with McMansions. He was the Director of Development at Leeding Media, a U.S – China Co-Production Company started by David Lee, producer of THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM and SHANGHAI.

    Cinematographer & Co-Producer


    Working as a producer-cinematographer at Veracity Productions in Los Angeles, Michael bridges the divide between documentary and fiction filmmaking. On the documentary side, Michael’s work can be seen in Lee Hirsch’s BULLY (2012 theatrical release by the Weinstein Co), three ITVS documentaries, including the 2010 Independent Lens four-hour series on religion in America THE CALLING, and the video component to DIGITAL DARKROOM, an Annenburg Space for Photography exhibition projected in 4K, shot on Veracity Productions’ RED Epic Camera across the US and France. Michael’s recent narrative credits include the 3D Japanese television short MEMORY ERASERS, the upcoming mystery-comedy feature THE SOUND & THE SHADOW, and INTERSECT, starring Troian Bellisario of Pretty Little Liars. As a commercial cinematographer, Michael has worked on recent campaigns for Adidas, Facebook, and the The Salvation Army, as well as the “Shellphone” spots for Royal Caribbean, which aired during the 2012 Olympics.

    Juli is an award-winning producer and editor, currently producing an ITVS documentary about aging. She won an Emmy Award for editing the 2002 Winter Olympics at NBC and has since been working as a producer for non-fiction and fiction film, television, commercials and music videos. Juli has produced films that premiered at the Sundance, Berlin and TriBeCa film festivals, and aired on Showtime and PBS. At Sony Pictures Entertainment, she worked on publicity campaigns for THE DAVINCI CODE for the US and international markets, as well as the 2006 Cannes Film Festival, and other films including STRANGER THAN FICTION, QUANTUM OF SOLACE and ANGELS & DEMONS.
